That’s been true since day one — and it’s still what defines how we work today.
A Little History
J&R Contracting was founded in the mid-1990s by Jonno Webber, starting out with a small directional drilling crew installing sewer, communications, and gas ducting around Auckland.
As the industry evolved, so did we.
Open trenching, drainage, and reinstatement were added to our capabilities, letting us take on more complex and large-scale infrastructure projects.
With every project, we focused on doing things properly — building lasting relationships and a reputation for getting the job done safely, efficiently, and without fuss.

From those beginnings, we’ve grown into a multi-regional contractor delivering:
