Our Safety Practices

We embed safety into our daily operations through:

  • Implementation of continuous improvement plans

  • Bi-annual review of health and safety material by senior team

  • Site-specific health and safety plans

  • Regular employee consultation, training and supervision

  • Employees within the team appointed to positions of responsibility

  • Identification and management of hazards

  • Scheduled inspecting and maintenance of machinery and equipment.

  • Regular safety audits by Health and Safety Manager, Site Supervisors and Directors

J&R Contracting Ltd has been incorporated since 1995. During that time, we have served as a preferred contractor or subcontractor on major infrastructure development and upgrade projects.
Through this experience, we have built a strong reputation for excellence in directional drilling, open trenching, piloting, and complete pipeline installation.

We recognise our legal and moral responsibility to manage our activities in ways that prevent pollution, minimise waste, and reduce environmental impact.

Our environmental management commitments include:

  • Ensuring resources are used sustainably, including steps for climate change mitigation and ecosystem protection
  • Making environmental considerations an integral part of our services, and actively seeking opportunities to reduce emissions and waste
  • Continually improving environmental performance by setting objectives that are achievable and aligned with community needs, best practices, and technological advances
  • Raising awareness and fostering a company culture that supports positive environmental outcomes
  • Reviewing progress regularly and striving for continuous improvement
  • Developing and implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS) aligned with ISO 14001:2015

Once implemented, the EMS will be reviewed annually.
This policy is mandated by management, communicated to employees and clients, and is freely available to the public.
